• The Chamber - State of the Cities
  • State of the Cities

  • Each January, we gather to reflect on five cities that make up our metro. As we kick off a new year, our community comes together to ask questions of the mayors of Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo, Dilworth and Horace, and talk about the cities’ growth, goals and priorities.

At the last State of the Cities event, the mayors shared not only their vision, but highlighted the hurdles and issues that affected our cities in the coming year.

The event provides a great opportunity for Chamber and community members to weigh in on the issues that you care about by asking questions directly to our city leaders. We open questions for the mayors prior to the event via an online form and allow live questions from the audience as well.

We also do live polling each year so that members and attendees can voice their opinion on various issues. This information is often cited in media reports, affects business planning, and helps our Chamber know where our members stand on certain matters. This year, workforce once again topped the list of important issues affecting the community, followed by mental and behavioral health. These polls help us understand where you fall on the issues so we can better guide our own Chamber events and efforts.
